Our Building Surveyors pride themselves on accurately capturing the condition of buildings and identifying historic or modern construction detailing allowing clients to make informed property decisions.
Membership to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) regulates Gate & Bar and provides access to the latest industry guidance, standards, and training.
This survey is most suited to properties of traditional construction. Typically built post 1950, where there are no suspected significant defects and where the property has not been significantly extended or altered.
It consists of a clear report structure with a rating system of individual elements of the property. It will normally take around two to three hours and aims to highlight substantial defects with advice on what action should be taken.
This survey type is designed for properties that are likely to undergo modernisation or renovation. The surveyor will focus on the main building elements and not provide comment on minor internal items, fixtures or fittings or the wider site.
This is a detailed and comprehensive report on the construction of the property and any related defects. It is suitable for all types of property but particularly relevant for those that are larger and/or have been significantly extended or altered. Compared to the other reports, a Building Survey gives more detail and offers recommendations on how to approach any remedial work.
This report is more extensive and an inspection will normally last between 3-6 hours dependent upon the size and type of the property.
Our building surveyors also carry out a number of tailored and bespoke surveys for a number of different clients and sectors.
Quantity surveyors provide a detailed understanding of Procurement, Costs & Contracts, enabling Gate & Bar to deliver projects from start to finish efficiently and on budget.
